

Judge Turgeon was appointed to the Commission by Chief Justice Ralph J. Cappy on April 11, 2003. She serves as a member of the Commission's Research Committee. Judge Turgeon received a B.A. degree from Chatham College (1974), a J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (1977), and is presently a candidate for a Master's Degree in Judicial Studies from the National Judicial College at the University of Nevada. She was a law clerk to the Honorable Genevieve Blatt of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania from 1977-1979. Prior to ascending to the bench, Judge Turgeon maintained a general civil practice (1979-1991). She has been a judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Dauphin County since 1992. She is also Vice-Chair of the Supreme Court Civil Jury Instructions Committee and Former Chair of the Supreme Court Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee. Judge Turgeon is currently an Associate Professor of Family Law at Widener Law School-Harrisburg.
